Staane was born in Hong Kong, raised across the UK and France, and is currently based in Tokyo. His multinational background and diverse education have equipped him with a unique global perspective, enabling him to understand cross-country challenges and opportunities while effectively scaling businesses and building operational resilience.

With over a decade of experience in retail and international trade, Staane currently serves as the Director of one of Hong Kong’s leading pet industry companies. His focus is on both online and offline retail, as well as international trade, where he oversees business direction, product development, and financial strategy. Staane has been instrumental in developing multiple market-leading brands and supporting Western companies in penetrating Southeast Asian markets, particularly China.

Throughout his career, Staane has specialized in data-driven business strategy and operational transformation. He is skilled in identifying high-impact opportunities and providing simpler solutions to complex challenges based on constraints. His leadership spans across corporate restructuring, ERP implementation, international expansion, and product launch management—having launched over 100 products annually, including new brands. His approach is grounded in logic-driven thinking, drawing on insights from diverse industries to tackle business problems.
Staane’s oversight extends across multiple departments, including finance, marketing, logistics, merchandising, and leasing. In addition to his core business, he actively manages a diverse, multi-country family property portfolio, which covers both residential and commercial sectors. He is also involved in new venture exploration across industries, particularly in early-stage businesses.
Staane holds a degree in Economics from University College London and a Master’s in Fine Art Photography from Paris. His blend of analytical rigor and creative exploration continues to shape his strategic approach, enabling him to deliver both immediate and long-term value to the businesses he leads.
